ANTIOCH -- Police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of a man they said is a person of interest in the assault and possible robbery last Saturday of an 83-year-old man in the parking lot of a hardware store.

Surveillance photos show a man in a white tank top and dark shorts inside a store and also outside, near a pay phone and three beverage machines. Police say he is wanted for questioning only.

The injured man remained in critical condition Tuesday morning at a hospital, police said. Police found him unconscious and bleeding in the parking lot of the hardware store at 4873 Lone Tree Way on Saturday around 5:17 p.m.

Information on how the man was injured and what was taken during the robbery has not been released by police. The man was bleeding from an apparent head wound, police said.
