PLEASANTON -- Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Chinese restaurant at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon before fleeing in his vehicle.

Police said the suspect robbed the Gold Chopsticks restaurant at 3170 Santa Rita Road at 2:06 p.m. and took off eastbound on West Las Positas Road in an older model, silver four-door Toyota Camry.

The suspect was described as a black man between 18 and 20 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He was carrying a backpack, and wearing an unknown style hat.
