ANTIOCH -- An Antioch man was wounded by gunfire Thursday night near City Hall and a suspect was arrested later in connection with the shooting, police said.
Police did not identify either man in the shooting, which happened at around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of G and West 4th streets, about two blocks from city offices, police said.
Officers found the victim lying in the street, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his back, police said. That man was taken to a hospital, and police said he is expected to survive.
The suspect was later arrested without incident at his residence on suspicion of attempted homicide, police said.
