DAVIS -- Police in Northern California say they have arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of killing an 87-year-old attorney and his wife.
Davis police tell the Sacramento Bee (bit.ly/10sldGe) the boy was arrested Monday and is the only suspect in the stabbing deaths of Oliver Northrup and his 76-year-old wife Claudia Maupin.
Police found the couple dead with multiple stab wounds at their Davis home on April 15. Northrup had failed to show up for a performance with a band he plays with, and his band mates were concerned. Police said there were signs of forced entry, but it did not appear to be a burglary.
Assistant Chief Darren Pytel says the boy is being held without bail at Yolo County juvenile hall. His name was withheld because he's a juvenile.
