CONCORD -- One person was seriously injured when an SUV overturned on eastbound Highway 4 on Wednesday, police said.
The one-car wreck happened just east of the Willow Pass Road exit around 11:15 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Simmons said. The wreck forced the three far left lanes to be closed for more than 30 minutes, Simmons said.
The seriously injured person, whose gender and age were not available, was taken via ambulance to a hospital, Simmons said. It was not known immediately if the injured person was the only one in the SUV, Simmons said.
Nobody else was injured, and no other vehicles were involved, Simmons said.
Two of the lanes reopened at 11:52 a.m., but not until 12:10 p.m. were all the lanes open.
