SAN JOSE -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating family members or friends of a homeless man who was physically assaulted earlier this month and remains in the hospital.

On June 9 at 1:07 p.m., Myung Shin Oh was assaulted under the overpass of Highway 87 between San Fernando and Santa Clara streets, according to police. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Police do not have any suspect information in the attack and have limited information on the assault, in part because detectives have not been able to talk to the victim because of his medical condition.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating any family or friends of the victim. Hospital staff has been unable to locate or contact any family members.
