Beyonce still has yet to perform her first Bay Area show in 2013, but she's already made plans for a return trip.

The multiplatinum R&B-pop star performs Dec. 2 at HP Pavilion in San Jose. That's the same venue where Beyonce will play a sold-out show on July 2.

Tickets for the Dec. 2 date, priced from $45 to $250, go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. July 1 through www.livenation.com. Information about pre-sale opportunities can be found at www.beyonce.com.

Beyonce is currently on the road with her globe-trotting The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which also includes stops in over 20 European cities. It's Beyonce's first multicity trek since the I Am .... Tour, which ran from 2009 into 2010 and reached some 1.1 million fans in 32 countries.

The current tour's name, of course, is a reference to Beyonce's marital status. She's married to Shawn Carter, who is better known to the world as hip-hop star Jay-Z.

Beyonce's latest album is 2011's "4," which became the singer's fourth consecutive No. 1 album in the U.S. and has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. The effort has produced several smash singles, including "Run the World (Girls)" and "Best Thing I Never Had."
