RICHMOND -- Police are looking for a man who flashed a gun at a fellow motorist on Interstate 80 this morning, crashed his car and then carjacked another driver.

Authorities said the man pulled a handgun on another driver on westbound I-80 around 8 a.m. this morning. The man then exited the freeway at the Central Avenue exit, and crashed into some bushes before colliding with a tanker truck stopped at a stoplight at Jacuzzi Street, police said. After crashing, the man got out of the car, and carjacked the driver of a Mercedes sedan, authorities said.

A woman riding with the man was taken into custody. Richmond police and the California Highway Patrol are investigating the incident and searching for the driver. He is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s with tattoos on his arms.

The driver of the tanker truck was not hurt.
