BAY POINT -- Two men robbed a pair of pedestrians at gunpoint for cellphones on Tuesday evening, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said. The victims were walking on the 3100 block of Willow Pass Road at 9:15 p.m. when two men, one armed with a gun, approached and demanded their cellphones, said sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee. The robbers then fled with the phones, cash and backpacks, authorities said.

Sheriff deputies and officers from the Martinez Police Department set up a perimeter to search for the men, and called in police dogs, but the men were not located, Lee said.
