OAKLAND -- Jarrod Parker made it through a bullpen session Tuesday without any setback, and he is on track to make his regularly scheduled start Thursday against the Chicago Cubs.
Parker suffered a right hamstring injury Saturday while attempting a pitch against the St. Louis Cardinals in the fourth inning. Manager Bob Melvin removed Parker before he faced another batter.
"He was able to throw his bullpen without any complications, although there were some times when he felt it just a little bit," Melvin said before Tuesday's game against the Cubs.
Parker is slated to start the finale of a three-game series against the Cubs. If Parker responds well after Tuesday's session, he'll get the nod Thursday.
Parker is 6-6 with a 4.11 ERA in 17 starts this season.
