RICHMOND -- A man and woman died after their vehicle crossed over two lanes of traffic and was struck by another car Wednesday night, fire officials said.

At 7:14 p.m., fire crews and paramedics were called to Richmond Parkway for a rollover collision with people trapped inside.

When crews arrived, they found the bodies of a middle-aged man and woman in a Toyota Camry, according to fire officials. Officials didn't immediately specify the nature of their injuries.

It is unknown why the car crossed over two lanes into oncoming traffic, and a section of Richmond Parkway remains closed as police investigate the scene.
