BRENTWOOD -- The Streets of Brentwood will add new stores and restaurants over the next few months as part of a larger remodeling effort to improve the shopping center's look to attract new customers.
Construction will begin in August on a new Black Angus restaurant, a western style steakhouse and national chain. When it opens in November, it will be the fourth Black Angus restaurant in the East Bay.
Select Comfort, a mattress and bedding retailer, will also open a store at Brentwood in the fall, around the same time the shopping center unveils a new Starbucks. And Sweet Bliss Cupcakes will open in August, selling single cupcakes, and cupcake catering with custom decorating for weddings.
The Streets of Brentwood recently completed upgrades to the parking lot, traffic circulation and children's play area. The center added 60 spaces and extra lighting to the parking lot, and built a round-about and street extension to reduce traffic jams.
