DUBLIN -- A man was undergoing surgery late Friday after he was attacked with a knife during an argument earlier in the day, police said.

Michael Wu, 55, was transported to a hospital after he was found bleeding from the stomach and the head around 3:50 p.m. in the 3700 block of Rimini Lane.

Though his injuries are severe, he is expected to survive, according to police.

Officers were called to Rimini Lane after a Waste Management driver picking up recyclables in the area called 911, stating he heard a loud argument between two males coming from a residence.

The man then noticed Wu in front of the residence bleeding from the stomach and head.

It is unknown what caused the argument, but police said 45-year-old Ji Yen Ye of Pleasanton was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation into in the incident is ongoing.
