PLEASANTON -- A 16-year-old Oakland resident arrested during a robbery at a Verizon store in Stockton has been identified as the same suspect in a Verizon store robbery that happened Tuesday, police said.

The name of the suspect is being withheld due to his age, but Pleasanton police said detectives visited the San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall on Friday and interviewed the teen.

Once he is released, he will be transported to Alameda County where and charged with one felony count of armed robbery, police said.

The teen was arrested Aug. 1 for allegedly robbing a Verizon store in Stockton, just two days after he is suspected of doing the same in Pleasanton. In both robberies, the suspect brandished a canister of pepper spray at employees.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Pleasanton Police Department at 925-931-5100.
