CONCORD -- A Hayward man was found dead inside a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex Thursday night, according to the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office.
The man, identified by a Sheriff's Office coroner's deputy as 50-year-old Nikolay Galushka, was in the driver's seat of the car when police were called to Palm Lake Apartments at 780 Oak Grove Road around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Concord police Lt. Tim Runyon said.
Galushka hadn't been seen since Friday, according to the deputy. It was not known how long the man had been inside the vehicle, but Runyon said it appears he may have been there for several days.
Runyon said there were no obvious signs of foul play. Coroner's deputies were performing an autopsy Friday, and results of toxicology tests to determine a cause of death will not be available for several weeks.
