MARTINEZ -- A suspect wanted for shootings in Pittsburg and Antioch -- one of which left a woman paralyzed -- was arrested at an apartment complex Wednesday morning, police said.

Pittsburg police caught up with 30-year-old Keni Thompson at an apartment complex on J Street at 9 a.m., according to Lt. Ron Raman. Thompson was arrested without incident.

According to police, Thompson was a wanted fugitive in the two shootings. The Pittsburg shooting occurred on Oct. 21, 2012, when Thompson allegedly pulled up to a car on Harbor Street and opened fire. One of the three people shot was paralyzed from the waist down; the other two recovered from their injuries, Raman said.

The 2010 shooting in Antioch happened at Johnny B's Bar on Sycamore Avenue. A man who was shot multiple times survived, Antioch police said.

Investigators spent more than a year searching for Thompson in Sacramento and Contra Costa counties, and Raman said recent information confirmed he was at the Martinez address. Neighbors were evacuated before police executed a search warrant and arrested him, Raman said. Thompson was booked into the County Jail in Martinez where he is being held on $2 million bail.
