Butte County Sheriff's officials have finally confirmed the identities of two people killed in a plane crash near Paradise last week.
"Through the use of dental records, the victims in this case have been identified as Frederick Lewis, age 54, of Fairfield, and Matthew Moody, age 26, of Alamo," a brief press release states.
Both men were identified by friends and family as the victims soon after the Aug. 12 crash. Lewis was co-owner of AA Aerial Surveillance, based at the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
