ANTIOCH -- A man suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks Saturday evening, and police say the suspect remains at large.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Sycamore Drive at 6:58 p.m. for reports of multiple shots fired, Lt. John VanderKlugt said. When they arrived, they found one adult male, who has not been identified, with a gunshot wound to his buttocks. The injury is not considered life-threatening.

The man told police that he did not see who shot him, but he did hear a vehicle leaving the area immediately after he was hit.

Witnesses told police they also did not see anyone open fire, VanderKlugt said.

The incident is under investigation.
