EL CERRITO -- Police have released surveillance video showing two burglary suspects breaking into a home last week.

The five-minute video, posted by the homeowner on YouTube, shows a suspect knocking on a front door, and then a second suspect using a burglary tool to pry open the door. When that didn't work, the suspect kicked down the door, the video shows.

Before entering, a suspect hit the security camera with a tool, but it had already captured the break in.

The burglary occurred about 11 a.m. Sept. 24 on 6700 block of Cutting Boulevard. The burglars took a laptop computer and a digital camera, according to police.
