RICHMOND -- The public is invited to a West Contra Costa school funding forum Tuesday at DeJean Middle School.

The Ed-Trust West organization estimates the district will receive more than $128 million in new funding over the next eight years. To provide a forum for discussion with local and state representatives, the California Endowment is hosting a 12-city School Success Express bus tour that will stop Tuesday at DeJean Middle School, 3400 Macdonald Avenue in Richmond.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the event starts at 6 p.m. The public can catch the bus at 5 p.m. at the Nevin Community Center at 598 Nevin Ave. in Richmond.

An Oakland forum will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at Fremont High, 4610 Foothill Blvd. in Oakland.
