SAN FRANCISCO -- Two men -- one from Antioch and the other from East Palo Alto -- were arrested Friday on suspicion of killing a man early Sunday in the city's Mission District, police said.

Antioch resident Giovanni Figueroa, 25, and East Palo Alto resident Demetrius Puckett, 21, both face homicide charges, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Figueroa was also charged with a weapons violation.

On Sunday around 2:18 a.m., officers responded to a shooting on the 2000 block of Mission. The victim, 32-year-old Waynenard Aitemon Jr., was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he died a few hours later.

Police are continuing to investigate the killing.
