SAN RAMON -- A person was hospitalized early Monday after being hit by a car, a San Ramon Valley Fire Protection spokeswoman said.
The person was walking near Stoneleaf and South Wedgewood roads around 6:10 a.m. when the incident happened, spokeswoman Kim French said. The pedestrian was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek in an ambulance after medical helicopters were canceled, French said.
No other details were available immediately. San Ramon police were investigating the incident.
