Novato - Marin County sheriff's deputies and Marin California Highway Patrol officers Saturday night helped disperse a group of between 50 and 100 young people from a home on Beach Drive in unincorporated Marin County, an official said Sunday.

"We got a call from a resident on Beach Drive at 10:56 p.m.," Marin County sheriff's Lt. Doug Pittman said Sunday. Pittman said the owner of the residence reported a large group of allegedly drunken young people "invaded his home, some of whom were friends of his daughter."

Four Marin County sheriff's deputies and six CHP officers responded to the call, Pittman said. "They were there about a half-hour assisting the homeowners," Pittman said.

"The officers were diligent in making sure no juveniles left the party under the influence or in possession of alcohol," Pittman said. "We did not make any arrests, no one was hurt, and there were no accidents." Further details were not available.
