SAN LEANDRO-- San Leandro police are looking for a man who robbed a Bank of the West Thursday morning after slipping a teller a note, then fleeing with an unspecified amount of cash.

The incident occurred at 9:20 a.m. at a Bank of the West located at 1601 Washington Avenue in San Leandro.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'10" tall with a heavy build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Police have released a video image of the suspect, who they describe as armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the San Leandro Police Department at 510-577-3230 or leave anonymous tips at 510-577-3278.
