CONCORD -- Two men wounded in a shooting Saturday morning near the Concord police station were expected to survive but have not cooperated with investigators, police said Monday.
The men, ages 19 and 21, were shot around 12:20 a.m. in the area near Oakmead and Lani Kai drives, about 1 ½ miles from police headquarters, Concord police Lt. David Hughes said. Police found the older man in the parking lot of a nearby 7-Eleven and the younger man on Lani Kai, Hughes said.
Both were taken in an ambulance to a hospital. Police did not say where the two men were shot, and detectives were still investigating the circumstances, Hughes said.
Neither of the victims has cooperated with police, Hughes said, and investigators are urging anyone who might have knowledge about the shooting to contact Concord police at 925-603-5922. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can do so by calling the tip line at 925-603-5836.
