CONCORD -- A teenager stabbed as he walked outside an apartment complex Tuesday morning was expected to survive his injuries, police said.
The stabbing occurred outside the Oak Grove Gardens Apartment complex, located at 1060 Oak Grove Road near Peach Place around 8:35 a.m., police said. ¿The boy was taken by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
Officers found a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound in his lower abdomen. Police said a man had confronted the teen on the sidewalk near the complex entry and stabbed him once.
Police did not say immediately what kind of weapon was used. The teen told police he didn't know the suspect and that he had never seen him before the confrontation.
