CONCORD -- A motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Concord Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Emergency crews were dispatched at 3:31 p.m. to the intersection of Marsh Drive and Solano Way for a report of a wreck involving a motorcycle, gold Acura and a white sedan, Officer Eric Anderson said.

Responding officers said the driver of the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and the coroner was called to the scene. The rider was not immediately identified.

No other injuries were reported, Anderson said.

Officers have closed Marsh Drive to investigate the fatal crash. The roadway was expected to be closed until at least 5:30 p.m.

Motorists were being asked to avoid the area.
