HAYWARD -- Bands will perform at four stages during downtown's second street party of the summer Thursday.

Santana-influenced Zebop, reggae and island soul band Native Elements, classic rockabilly group Royal Deuces and The Diehards will play along B Street, which will be closed from Foothill Boulevard to City Hall at Watkins Street.

The family-friendly free party takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and includes street performers, face-painters, pony rides and children's games for kids. A classic car show will be on Main Street, and informational and food booths will be set up along B Street. There will be beer and soda gardens.
