Antioch: Coroner ID's man fatally shot during Friday carjacking

Richard Pareno, 27, of Pittsburg, was fatally shot Friday after he allegedly carjacked Leo Lopez, 37, arrested later on suspicion of murder.  
The late Jeremy "Lumpy" Sturgill was named Brentwood's citizen of the year for his generosity and kindness.  
The motorcyclist who crashed into a box truck and died last week on a South Bay freeway was a Brentwood man, the Alameda County Coroner's said Monday.  
A 19-year-old Pleasanton man was arrested Thursday night after planting what appeared to be a pipe bomb in a person's vehicle in Discovery Bay, police said.

Carlos Ventura, 23, has been charged with murdering Deon Anderson in 2014 and is also facing a potential life in prison case on a home invasion robbery.
