The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Sept. 20-24, according to information provided by the Police Department.
Sept. 20
Warrant: At 12:25 a.m. someone contacted on Diablo Way was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Shoplifting: At 1:58 p.m. someone was place under citizen's arrest for shoplifting at a business on Lone Tree Way. Burglary: At 3:20 p.m. it was reported a residence on Cellini Terrace was burglarized resulting in the loss of jewelry. Sept. 21
DUI: At 12:12 a.m. someone stopped for vehicle code violations on Main Street and Simoni Ranch Road was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Suspicious circumstances: At 2:01 p.m. a female observed three males in her backyard acting in a suspicious nature. The subjects fled the scene after realizing they had been seen. Burglary: At 3:09 p.m. it was reported a vehicle on Sycamore Avenue was burglarized. Sept. 22
Theft: At 11:44 a.m. a resident on Nighthawk Way reported a bicycle was stolen from an open garage. Shoplifting: At 3:49 p.m. someone stole merchandise from a business on Lone Tree Way. Subjects fled the scene before police arrived. Warrant: At 7:40 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Brentwood Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue was arrested when determined to have two outstanding warrants. Sept. 23
Burglary: At 1:45 a.m. it was reported a vehicle on Brentwood Boulevard was burglarized. Someone was later contacted and arrested for possession of the stolen property. DUI accident: At 5:51 a.m. someone ran into the center median and a road sign on Sunset Road and Jane Way. Subject was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Disturbance: At 4:04 p.m. officers responded to a business on Lone Tree Way for the report of a customer causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Sept. 24
Public intoxication: At 1:28 a.m. someone was arrested on Torrey Pines Drive for suspicion of being intoxicated in public. Warrant: At 9:01 p.m. someone contacted during a vehicle stop on Maple Street was arrested when found to have three outstanding agency warrants. Weapon: At 10:55 p.m. a passenger contacted during a vehicle stop was arrested when found to be in possession of a stolen loaded firearm. -- Nan Hargis
