BRENTWOOD -- Brentwood is looking for applicants who live within the city limits to fill openings on several commissions.

The Brentwood Planning Commission has three vacancies because of term expirations. The application deadline is Nov. 30. The commission meets on the first and third Tuesdays of every month to help plan the city's growth, development and design.

The East Contra Costa Fire District board and the newly formed board will include nine members with four from Brentwood. It meets on the first Monday or each month and applications are due by Nov. 16.

There are two vacancies on the Brentwood Arts Commission and it meets on the third Wednesday of the month. The board makes recommendations on all mediums of art to the Brentwood City Council. The deadline to apply is Nov. 30.

The Parks and Recreation Commission has once vacancy at this time and they advise city officials on parks and recreation facilities and policies and meet on the fourth Thursday of each month. The deadline for this position is Nov. 30.

The Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee consists of residents from the city's 53 neighborhoods and meets on the second Wednesday of the month in the Brentwood Community Center.
