The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Dec. 20-26, according to the Police Department.
DEc. 20 Theft: At 2:30 p.m. someone on Dainty Avenue reported that the catalytic converter was stolen from their vehicle overnight. Loss is about $600. Shoplift: At 2:13 p.m. two women entered a Sand Creek Road business and stole two items of clothing. The estimated loss is $128. Vandalism: At 5:13 p.m. it was reported that someone damaged the sprinklers and irrgation system for an athletic field on Fairview Avenue.
DEC. 21 Theft from auto: At 12:22 a.m. a purse and wallet were removed from a locked vehicle in a commercial shopping center on Balfour Road. Theft: At 2:35 a.m. it was reported that Christmas gifts were stolen from a house on Winged Foot Road during a holiday party hosted by the victim's 18-year-old son. Loss was $843. Vandalism: At 7:24 a.m., someone smashed the driver's side rear window of a vehicle parked on Bosk Avenue. Loss was $250. Stolen vehicle: At 9:01 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the Kohl's parking lot on Lone Tree Way. There was no suspect information provided. Commercial burglary: At 12:51 p.m., someone broke into a Brentwood Boulevard business and stole two safes mounted to the floor. Among the missing items are two handguns, two other firearms and fishing equipment. n
Burglary: At 3:29 p.m., kitchen appliances, a sink and a ceiling fan were stolen from a vacant residence on Fairview Court. Loss is $2,750. Vandalism: At 8:25 a.m., black spray paint was used to tag school walls and a door handle and window were broken at a campus on Shady Willow Lane. Commercial burglary: At 1:41 p.m., someone entered a Sand Creek business and stole about $820 worth of men's fragrances. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Martinez Detention Facility. DUI: At 3:29 p.m., a driver determined to be under the influence of alcohol collided with another vehicle in a center median on O'Hara Avenue. The driver was arrested and transported to the Martinez jail. Theft from auto: At 4:23 p.m., the rear passenger window of a vehicle parked on Lone Tree Way was smashed and a total of $500 was taken from the vehicle. Residential burglary: At 6:11 p.m., it was reported that jewelry was lifted from a Toulouse Lane residence and entry was made through an open front window. Loss is estimated at $5,000 to $7,000. Residential burglary: At 12:18 p.m., a GPS was stolen from a vehicle in an unsecured garage on East Country Club Drive. Vandalism: At 8:42 p.m., Christmas decorations were vandalized in the front yard of a home on Guise Way.
