The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Dec. 27 through Jan. 9, according to the police department.
DEC. 27 Malicious mischief: At 12:27 a.m. someone reported that a vandal had thrown a pumpkin at a house on Las Colinas Drive, damaging the siding. Burglary: At 8:47 a.m. someone reported that a stranger tried to force entry through the front door of a home on Tanglewood Lane. Miscellaneous: At 8:33 p.m. someone on Anjou Parkway reported that a woman's dogs were "using his lawn as a bathroom."
DEC. 28 Burglary: At 7:53 a.m., someone reported that a stranger tried to force entry through the front door of a home on Mediterraneo Place.
DEC. 29 Burglary: At 8:36 p.m., someone reported that a person forced his or her way into a home on Roundhill Drive by smashing the rear glass sliding door and stole electronics.
JAN. 1 Robbery: At 1:38 p.m., two people entered a residence on Greenstone Court and ordered the victims to the ground at gunpoint. They bound the hands of one of the victims with a ziptie; the other victim put up a fight, causing the suspects to flee. Police arrested both of them. Burglary: At 8:07 p.m. Someone forced his or her way through the front door of a home on St. Andrews Drive. The suspect stole an iPad and iPad Mini, jewelry and a Colt .38 revolver.
JAN. 2 Malicious mischief: Police received a report at 10:32 a.m. that someone had defaced the retaining walls surrounding a park on Balfour Road with spray paint. Fraud: Police were contacted at 1:14 p.m. after someone on Brentwood Boulevard reported having sent $2,000 via Western Union for a fraudulent lease. Petty theft: At 1:44 p.m., it was reported that someone stole about $650 in tools from the driveway of a home on Caper Drive. Auto theft: At 5:37 a.m., someone reported the theft of a car that was left running in the driveway of a home on Hudson Drive. Auto theft: At 6:26 a.m., it was reported that a vehicle was stolen overnight from Redhaven Street, where it was parked outside the victim's house. Assault: At 12:50 p.m., police received a call that someone on Middlefield Court had hit another person for not getting enough work. The victim declined to press charges. Auto theft: At 6:35 a.m., someone reported that items had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Gristmill Drive. Theft: At 9:52 a.m., someone reported that a credit application containing personal information was stolen overnight from a vehicle on Mills Drive. Fraud: At 1:04 p.m., someone on Greenleaf Drive reported that a person had used his or her personal information to open three Verizon Wireless accounts. Grand theft: At 5:09 p.m., a person on Lagoon Court reported that someone had stolen $1,000 in landscaping tools from the open bed of the victim's truck. Auto theft: At 11:58 a.m., someone reported that a motorcycle had been stolen from a parking lot on Central Boulevard. Burglary: At 5:24 p.m., someone entered the open garage of a house on Leaning Oak Drive and stole a 50cc off-road motorcycle.
