Jack London offices now 90 percent leased
Jack London Square in Oakland now has 90 percent of its office space leased following several rental deals in the complex along the downtown's waterfront.
The Forge restaurant has struck a deal to open before the end of this month, which will bolster efforts by developer Ellis Partners to transform Jack London Square into a dining destination.
Navis, a maker of software for the maritime industry, leased 35,000 square feet for its world headquarters.
Jamba Juice plans revamp of stores
Emeryville-based Jamba Juice is launching a new store format and design for the smoothie and food retailer's outlets.
The new formats will include limited menu smoothie stations, drive-throughs and juice bar sections in Jamba stores.
Jamba will introduce the new format in its new stores. In addition, Jamba will redesign existing stores over the next four years.
NGY Stones plans San Leandro location
NGY Stones has leased a 50,000-square-foot warehouse in San Leandro at 2955 Merced St.
The deal represents the first Bay Area location for the home improvement firm, according to brokers with Lee & Associates and Cassidy Turley.
NGY Stones is based in Southern California, and produces 150 colors of granite, marble prefabs and cabinets based company.
Chevron nears shale deal in Lithuania
San Ramon-based Chevron is close to winning a license to explore for shale gas in Lithuania, officials in the nation said Tuesday.
Chevron is about to land a license for a field in western Lithuania, a region where several small firms extract a tiny amount of crude oil.
In 2011, Chevron bought a 50 percent stake in one of those oil firms.
