PALO ALTO -- As temptations of pie and eggnog abound, a new Palo Alto juice store is offering a break from the usual high-fat and sugary holiday menu.
Pressed Juicery has opened in the Stanford Shopping Center, marking the company's fifth Bay Area location. Pressed Juicery sells cleansing, raw fruit and vegetable juices, as well as coffee, tea and almond milk drinks. The Palo Alto store held its grand opening on Black Friday, offering detoxing drinks to shoppers on the day after most had indulged in a Thanksgiving feast.
The Southern California-based company has expanded in the past year as the juicing trend has grown popular among health enthusiasts and foodies looking for natural and organic alternatives to sugary drinks. Pressed Juicery also has three locations in the San Francisco and two in Marin County.
