Los Altos-based Box.Net has opened its first international headquarters to support a growing base of customers in Europe for the cloud services company.
Box opened the new office in London and intends to hire 100 employees from the London area by the end of 2013.
"We've seen significant customer growth across Europe in the last year and are thrilled to be building out a local presence to support our customers," Box CEO and co-founder Aaron Levie said.
"A tremendous shift is taking place in Europe. Businesses are looking for solutions that help them move to the cloud and transition away from costly, inflexible legacy technologies," he said.
Box has raised $162 million in venture capital since its founding in 2005.
