Chevron refinery at full output despite leak
San Ramon-based Chevron said its Richmond refinery is operating at full production levels after a flange leak at the complex.
"The bottom line is this leak is not affecting production," said Walt Gill, a Chevron representative. "We are producing at normal capacity."
Chevron's Richmond refinery is the largest in Northern California. It can process 240,000 barrels of oil feedstock a day.
"This was an isolated flange leak," Gill said.
The energy giant didn't shut any units at the refinery.
