CUPERTINO -- After a quarter-million-dollar remodel, Erik's DeliCafe has reopened its 30-year-old restaurant in Cupertino.

The restaurant has a redesigned interior and exterior, and added gluten-free baked goods to its menu of sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. The DeliCafe, at 19652 Stevens Creek Blvd. was modernized with new technology, the décor updated and the store layout reconfigured, according to a news release.

The California restaurant chain also recently upgraded of its Watsonville location, and says sales have increased 13 percent since the remodel was completed. This fall, Erik's DeliCafe in Santa Clara is expected to complete its renovations, followed by the San Jose location at the end of the year and Fremont in 2015.

Erik's DeliCafe was founded in Scott's Valley in 1973 and has locations across the Bay Area, Central Coast and greater Sacramento area.
