WALNUT CREEK --An East Bay consignment shop known for its whimsical antiques and home furnishings is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a four-day sale and festivities.
Room With a Past will mark a decade in Walnut Creek with a parking lot sale next month, when the locally owned store will offer up its most eclectic mix of home decor and collectibles. The 10th anniversary parking lot sale will be 6 to 9 p.m. April 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 11-12 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13 at 1557 Third Ave.
Room With a Past offers used home furnishings, collectibles and accessories, which range from rustic to antique, and have been picked up from estate sales, flea markets and auctions. The store is open just four days a month -- Thursday through Sunday evening, usually the third weekend of the month.
Susan Goodman of Pleasanton bought Room With a Past from Concord resident Janet Ely about five years ago. Goodman has grown the business and opened a second location in Livermore, called Paris Flea Market, at 535 Leisure St. The Livermore location is open the first weekend of the month.
