Cal wide receiver Alex Lagemann has decided not to return for his senior season.

Lagemann is earning his degree in media studies in May. After a promising second half of his sophomore year, Lagemann struggled simply to get on the field in 2010. He ended up with just one catch for 8 yards.

In 2009, Lagemann caught 12 passes for 150 yards, but 11 catches and 127 yards came during the final six games of the season.

Lagemann was listed as a starter opposite Marvin Jones on Cal's depth chart heading into training camp, a spot that ultimately was taken by freshman Keenan Allen. Lagemann eventually fell behind Jeremy Ross and Michael Calvin, making him the Bears' No. 5 receiver.

Lagemann was a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic selection. He also is an aspiring musician, having gained popularity among the college community on the West Coast for his exploits as the rapper, "Loggy."
