PACOIMA - A security guard wounded a man he had removed from a Pacoima restaurant who then shot at him in the parking lot, a police sergeant said Monday.

The shooting occurred about 8:50 p.m. Sunday at the El Sesteo Mariscos at 13668 Van Nuys Blvd., said a Los Angeles police sergeant.

A male security guard escorted the man out of the restaurant for unknown reasons, he said.

The man went to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun, then shot at the security guard, who returned fire, he said.

The man was struck and transported to a hospital with non-life- threatening injuries, he said.
