Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man suspected of robbing an Arleta video game store at gunpoint who was caught on security tape.

The suspect posed as a customer at the store at 9700 Woodman Avenue at about 11:20 a.m. on July 8, telling the clerk that he wanted to sell back a video game, said Detective Juan Santa of LAPD Mission Division.

He then pulled out a gun that was partially covered by a black T-shirt and told the clerk, "Give me the money or I'll blast you," Santa said.

The suspect told a boy who was browsing nearby to go look at games in another part of the store, Santa said.

"That kind of ups it, that he's willing to do this in front of the little kid and possibly put this kid in danger," Santa said.
