YUCAIPA - A 55-year-old Yucaipa man was arrested Friday as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault, robbery and kidnapping investigation, according to sheriff's deputies.

John Owen of Yucaipa was arrested at 9:19 a.m. at a residence in the 34000 block of County Line Road after a search warrant was served at the house, sheriff's news release said.

Owen's arrest is part of an investigation into an assault, robbery and kidnapping that occurred on Sept. 28.

Deputies said Joseph Johnson, 28, of Mentone also is a suspect in the incident. Johnson is in custody on un-related charges..

Additional arrests are expected and the investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
