A bright red pickup truck, possibly a Nissan Frontier, struck 79-year-old Virginia Ramirez on Glenoaks Boulevard near Mercer Street about 6:30 a.m. Saturday, and the southbound driver stopped momentarily, police spokesman Bruce Borihanh said.
Witnesses told police the man looked at the injured woman, got back into the truck and drove off. About that time, a woman driving white Chevrolet Monte Carlo stuck the woman, witnesses told police.
