From 6 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, 1,983 vehicles passed through the driving-under-the-influence checkpoint, according to a police news release.
Five other arrests were made on suspicion of DUI, and five more arrests were made on outstanding warrants.
Details of the alleged assault were not available.
A total of 38 vehicles were impounded. Police issued 92 citations for various offenses.
Authorities ask the public to call 9-1-1 if they see suspected drunken drivers on the roadways.
