LOS ANGELES - Overnight freeway closures will complicate predawn commutes in the Baldwin Park and Seal Beach areas this weekend, according to Caltrans and Orange County Metro officials.
In the San Gabriel Valley, the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway will be closed from the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway east to Puente Avenue from 11 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. Sunday. The westbound 10 Freeway will be closed, starting at Puente Avenue, from 11:59 tonight until 4 a.m. Sunday.
Numerous ramps at the 10/605 interchange will also be closed, starting at 6 p.m. tonight.
In northwest Orange County, two freeways heading towards Long Beach will be closed Sunday night. Both the northbound San Diego (405) and westbound Garden Grove (22) freeways will be closed just before midnight Sunday night, until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
Those closures will start at the 405 and 22 freeways' Valley View Street exits, and continue west on the combined 22/405 to Seal Beach Boulevard.
And Sunday night, the transition ramp from eastbound Route 22 in Long Beach to the northbound 605 will close at 11 p.m., to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
The southbound connectors from both routes 405 and 605 to westbound Route 22 will also be closed from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
And Seal Beach Boulevard's overpass across the 405 will be closed Sunday night through Monday morning.
