RANCHO CUCAMONGA - The Maloof Foundation's free annual Garden Days Lecture Series will be held Saturday through Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The schedule is:

• Saturday: "Mushrooms" by Dr. Jerry Tourney
  
• Sunday: "Geology of the San Gabriels" by Dee D. Trent
  
• Monday: "Composting and Vermiculture" by San Bernardino County Master Gardeners
  

In addition, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday is a hands-on pruning and planting workshop. Attendees are encouraged to bring their gloves and pruners so they can actively practice drought-tolerant plant maintenance skills.

Certified arborist Rich Bato will demonstrate proper tree pruning and removal techniques.

Maloof Foundation is at 5131 Carnelian St. Drop-ins are welcome.
