SAN DIEGO—Three San Diego men have been convicted of robbing and killing a college student who answered a Craigslist ad.

A San Diego jury announced its verdict Thursday in the murder trial of Rashon Abernathy, Seandell Jones and Shaquille Jordan. Each could face about 50 years to life in prison.

Authorities say the three lured 18-year-old Garrett Berki to the Paradise Hills last year with a Craigslist ad offering a laptop computer.

Prosecutors say they snatched $600 from Berki and fled in a stolen car that Berki later spotted and chased.

Authorities say Berki was shot when his car cornered the other vehicle in a cul-de-sac.

Abernathy's attorney claimed the gun went off by accident.

Abernathy also was convicted of a similar Craigslist robbery that occurred a week before the shooting.
