A woman was killed and another person injured Saturday morning after a pickup truck lost control and went off a freeway ramp between Burbank and Glendale.

The California Highway Patrol said the single-vehicle crash on the ramp from the Golden State (5) freeway to the Ventura (134) freeway was reported at 9:23 a.m.

The Ford F-150 pickup overturned after it went off the road. A police dispatcher said it was not clear whether the woman killed was the driver or a passenger.

The truck crashed through a guardrail and landed in a stand of trees.

The ramp was closed while police investigated, and traffic was affected until about 1:30 p.m., when a Sig Alert ended, police said.
