PASADENA, Calif.—Authorities say two women have been injured after falling 30 feet from a waterfall in the Angeles National Forest near Los Angeles.

An Alhambra woman in her 20s broke both legs and suffered head injuries in the fall in Eaton Canyon on Monday evening. Her friend, also in her 20s and from Alhambra, received minor injuries.

The women were located by a Los Angeles County sheriff's rescue team. The more seriously injured woman was airlifted to a hospital.

Lt. Brian Fitch tells the Pasadena Star-News ( that both women are expected to make a full recovery.
